Employees feel that Kojamo’s corporate culture is above all dynamic

According to a personnel survey, the word “dynamic” best describes Kojamo’s corporate culture. The high response rate also indicates a strong belief in the development of operations in the light of the survey results.

Kojamo organised its annual personnel survey in September. This year, the response rate was 89 per cent, an increase of five percentage points compared to the previous year.

“The number of respondents shows that Kojamo employees have faith in the effectiveness of the survey. Kojamo genuinely develops its activities based on the survey results,” says Noora Suojansalo, People & Culture Manager at Kojamo.

Compared to the previous year, there has been development in each surveyed area when assessing one’s own work, the efficiency of work, learning and development, supervisory work, the customer experience, the company’s values and employer.

“This year, we have succeeded in clarifying roles and responsibilities, which supports efficient work. Strengths also include bringing up deficiencies and challenges safely and supervisors who offer support, guidance and feedback. These are also central pillars in promoting the well-being of employees. The results show that taking care of employees’ well-being is at a good level overall,” says Suojansalo.

Kojamo employees are proud of their employer

Kojamo employees are particularly proud of Kojamo’s working atmosphere and work community, which is perceived as positive and encouraging. The culture of joy, laughter and openness is widely appreciated and is seen as supporting teamwork. Cooperation is efficient and it is easy to ask for help.

The company’s management is praised for its increased transparency, lower hierarchies and increased trust in experts. Management is perceived to have become more flexible and the participation of employees has increased.

Kojamo’s willingness to innovate and the courage to try new things are seen as a key strength. Instead of being afraid of making mistakes in the development activities, the company views mistakes as a natural part of the learning process. Kojamo’s goal of continuing to be a pioneer and a provider of high-quality services is appreciated.

“eNPS 46, in other words, employees’ readiness to recommend their company to others, is at a good level and has increased compared to the previous year. Key factors in the readiness to recommend the company to others included Kojamo’s goals, the company’s willingness to take care of employees’ well-being and listening to the personnel,” says Suojansalo.

An ever-evolving company gathers no moss

The purpose of the personnel survey is to collect information about the employee experience and corporate culture in order to identify key strengths and areas for development and take measures for operational development.

“We hope to receive as many responses to the survey as possible so that we can further develop the employee experience and our corporate culture in line with the wishes of our employees,” says Suojansalo.

Areas for development include increasing cooperation across unit and team boundaries and streamlining work through information management.

“In a dynamic, fast-paced work community, it is also important to take a moment to give thanks and offer feedback. This was also highlighted in the personnel survey,” says Suojansalo.

Each team has reviewed the results of the personnel survey in more detail, especially from the perspective of their own team, and concrete development proposals will be discussed separately by the management team.

More detailed measures for the development of corporate culture will be specified as the operational planning for the coming year progresses, but the development targets have also been addressed proactively during the autumn by, for example, mapping out the ways and opportunities for Kojamo employees’ learning in the future.
